A 4-day holiday/vacation package taking in the best of the best
This day depends very much on where you are coming from. Best left free to check-in to your hotel and orientate yourself around town. If time permits, you can drop in and see us and double check all arrangements.
Get active today with a hike or a bike ride. We can organise either to suit any level of fitness. Check out our Cycling page to see what levels are on offer. You may want to follow this up with other activities but don't plan on too much this first day.
Start with a paddle down the Li River. You can choose a distance that suits you. There are no significant obstacles so you do not need any previous experience. Enjoy views of life by the river; typically fishermen, laundry ladies, kids playing and lots of water buffalo.
Carry on afterwards to Silver Cave for another perspective on the Karst scenery. You need no special equipment as this cave has walkways and lighting. A guide will let you know the names of the various formations, and after a while you can begin to make up your own.
We cycle to the Yulong River then take a Bamboo Raft. Enjoy the change of pace, and forget the bicycles for now. They will make their own way to our end-point. The boatman will steer a course over small weirs so we strongly recommend you use the life-jackets provided. Then you can relax and enjoy the fantastic scenery.
When we disembark we will cycle again, though not far, to Moon Hill. The walk up takes 20-40 minutes depending upon your fitness and the humidity. It is definitely worth it - the views down on rice paddies are stunning.
We cycle back to town through the countryside with you taking more photos and learning about the local way of life.
There are plenty of options in the evenings. Yangshuo has a huge range of restaurants offering Chinese food (don't expect it to be like a take-away at home!) as well as many other cuisines. If you would like directions or advice, just ask.
There are two special forms of evening entertainment in Yangshuo: the Liu San Jie (Third sister Liu) Light Show and Cormorant fishing
For more information on these, please see our Attractions page
We have not included Accommodation, Meals and onward transfer. This offers you the most flexibility though we would be happy to book any of these for you if you want.
