Yangshuo is delightful and an easy place for foreigners to make themselves comfortable. You will need no more than common sense to stay safe.
Do:
- Check out our website to see what is available. We offer more than any guidebook can cover.
- Check out our Great Feedback. We will continue to add to this as the season progresses.
- Check out alternatives. We are sure you will find us competitive.
- Allow plenty of time. There are so many things to do here, your time will not be wasted.
- Make sure you have a visa for China and good travel insurance.
Do not:
- Listen to or follow touts (unlicensed vendors). They have some nasty, expensive tricks.
- Worry about arrangements. There is always someone here to help you.
- Forget to leave your comments; to help us learn and to advise the travellers that follow you.

Qing Ming Festival

Qing Ming Festival is a tradition throughout China often known as the grave-sweeping festival. Although marked as 5 April on the calendar, actually this is a period of two weeks during which the family pay their respects to their ancestors by cleaning up the graves and offering sacrifices.
Li River Cruises: Low Water Warning

Guangxi is part of the drought-stricken area of south-west China which is currently a top news item nationally.
At the moment the Li River water is very low, so the cruise boats can't start from Guilin nor finish in Yangshuo. Until normal water levels return, the cruises will start from Yangti and finish in Xingping.
