Yangshuo Expat's Weekend break from Hong Kong
Get some greenery in your life. Come up on a Friday and you can be back again for work on Monday morning having refreshed your life
Friday Evening - Fly up to Guilin and transfer to Yangshuo.
Catch a flight up from Hong Kong airport. Both Dragon Air and China Southern have evening flights. Alternatively, consider flying from Shenzhen or Guangzhou. We can arrange to have you met and brought to your hotel of choice.
We can book hotels and flights for you if you prefer the simplicity of a package. We would ask for a deposit by Paypal.
Saturday - A full free day in Yangshuo
Make the most of this full day. We recommend seeing the countryside by bicycle but can just as easily arrange a hike or less active options. Just let us know what you want to do. If you have a special interest then email and ask us. We can advise on options and suitable timings.
Don't forget to think about your evening. Make it special with a trip to the Light Show, or ask for eating recommendations.
Sunday - Free time determined by your choice of flight back
You can be as lazy or active as you wish. Have a huge Sunday breakfast and relax around town, or get up early and take a balloon trip over our magnificent countryside; the choice is yours.
There are evening flights back from Guilin. Allow about 3 hours for the transfer and check-in.
Variations
Don't come to Yangshuo at all! If you've been here before then you may prefer a trip out to the Longsheng Rice Terraces or similar. We can arrange such trips just as easily.
Li River Cruise If you want to take the regular cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo then we can arrange a hotel in Guilin for your Friday night and a cruise on Saturday morning. Otherwise, consider doing any of our other boat trips from Yangshuo.

Qing Ming Festival is a tradition throughout China often known as the grave-sweeping festival. Although marked as 5 April on the calendar, actually this is a period of two weeks during which the family pay their respects to their ancestors by cleaning up the graves and offering sacrifices.
